A resident of Barcelonnette, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, was sentenced this Tuesday, December 31, to six months’ imprisonment for violence and death threats against a neighbor.
A resident of Barcelonnette, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, was arrested by the gendarmes before the New Year and then convicted by the courts for violence and death threats against a neighbor, BFM DICI learned.
For several months, this 39-year-old man was suspected of making death threats against a local resident over a financial dispute following the sale of a property. Every time the two crossed paths, the tone rose. Until the person in question hits the other man.
Six months of imprisonment
Known for causing trouble in the town, the violent individual was arrested by the Barcelonnette gendarmes and then placed in police custody.
-Referred this Tuesday 31st before the Digne-les-Bains judicial court, he was tried and then sentenced in immediate appearance. He faces six months’ imprisonment and an obligation to find work when he is released from detention.
