Image of the day: more than 1,500 participants attempted to break the footbreaker world record in Espalion

Espalion attempted to beat the world record for breaking foot organized by the merchants' association “Vivons Espalion”.

Under pouring rain, 1,593 dancers converged on Rue Droite and the Vieux-Pont to take on this challenge with their green Christmas hats screwed on their heads, Saturday December 14, 2024.

The previous record, established on August 15 in Rieutort-de-Randon in Lozère with 2,812 participants, has therefore not been beaten but for Marianne Amat of the eponymous jewelry store, “the important thing was to create a moment of conviviality and human warmth in a gloomy world.

The participants, from all generations, performed the rhythmic steps of this dance with enthusiasm, creating a festive and warm atmosphere in the heart of the city.

The merchants' association, the driving force behind this initiative, has once again proven its dynamism and its ability to bring together associations, sports clubs and residents around a major event. Congratulations to all participants and a big thank you to the association for this unforgettable day!
