Casio G-Shock DW5000R US pricing and release month now confirmed

The Casio G-Shock DW5000R-1A watch has finally appeared on the brand’s website in the United States. The model was officially launched in Japan on December 13 and quickly sold out during a pre-order campaign earlier this month.

Casio US’s listing for the DW5000R, also known as the DW-5000R, reveals that the watch will retail for $200 in that market. This means it falls between the DW5600 and GW5000 series; for example, the Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V watch is currently available for $49.22 on Amazon.

The DW5000R is a recreation of the original DW-5000 model from the eighties. Like its predecessor, the new version features a stainless steel case and a bracelet with a similar design. Features include a stopwatch, countdown, alarms and flash alerts. A white backlit LED illuminates the screen, which is useful when it’s dark, and the watch should last for five years on its CR2016 battery.

According to the product listing, the Casio G-Shock DW5000R-1A watch will be launched in the United States in December. This model is also expected to arrive in the UK later this year or early 2025, priced at £179. European pricing for the DW5000R has not yet been officially announced.
