This has been one of the demands of health professionals for several years. In a few days, the price of consultations will increase for patients. And if this concerns all general practitioners, it is also the case for some
specialties. A price increase which should nevertheless be painless for the majority of
French.

On June 4, a accord was signed between
health insurance and private doctors, leading in particular to an increase in the price of medical consultations from December. And a little over six months later, the change will come into force.

The increase in the price of consultations does not only concern general practitioners

“These measures aim both to restore attractiveness of these clinical specialties including
income are among the lowest and contribute to improving the response to important public health issues, for the monitoring of children and young people, the elderly, women, patients suffering from psychological difficulties in particular.”, as explained on the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam) website

A visit to the general practitioner will now be billed at 30 euros instead of the current 26.50 euros. But the specialists have not been forgotten. This is the case for the
pediatricians. Parents will now have to repay 39 euros instead of 38.50 euros for a child under two years old. The amount will increase to 40 euros in July 2025. For a child aged two to six years, the price has been set at 35 euros compared to 33.50 euros to date. THE technical acts were also revalued.

The price changes for consultations with these specialists

It should be noted that the 3 compulsory consultations after birth and which give rise to a certificate will be revalued at 54 euros compared to 47.50 euros and their price will increase up to 60 euros on July 1, 2025. neuropsychiatre or the neurologist. The visit, set at 51.70 euros, will increase to 55 euros on December 22 and to 57 euros in July 2025.

Regarding the child psychiatry (extended up to 25 years), the consultation will cost 75 euros. At the
gynecologistan appointment will be billed at 37 euros compared to 33.50 until now before reaching 40 euros in July 2025. Same trend for the geriatrician. You will have to pay 37 euros instead of 31.50 euros and the price will increase to 42 euros in July 2025.

Melanoma screening consultations increase

Even the consultation of melanoma screening
at the dermatologist is revalued at 54 euros in December, then at 60 € in July 2025. Full details are available in the text final of the
