“Serge Lama always told me to be careful of the turn you are going to take. It's going to be complicated, because, when we sing for children, at some point, when they become teenagers, they reject everything they loved. (…) But wait, be patient, because afterwards (…), they will come back to you,” explains with humility Lorie on the set of Quotidien this December 2. Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the singer arrives in front of Yann Barthès to promote Lorie Party, his major tour in France, Belgium and Switzerland planned for 2025 to mark his twenty-year career. Problem, as the presenter tells him, the tickets, put on sale at 8 p.m., have already completely sold out. Taken aback by the star, visibly surprised and happy. Tear of sadness on the cheeks of the author of this article, well aware that he successively missed the chances of seeing his youth idol in Paris then in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, the tickets being miserably passed to him under the nose.
In concert, Lorie goes (again) wild
The announcement of this major tour followed the flash sale of his concerts at the Trianon. The single scheduled date turned into a trio of shows on November 28, 29 and 30, all of which were sold out on November 22. “All three dates at the Trianon are sold out and honestly, I didn't expect it at all, well in any case, not so quickly”explains the star on TikTok, eyes misty. What we want to answer (by taking her in our arms): “never forget that you are Lorie, star of our childhood, heroine of our school shows, fashion inspiration of our young years and undisputed queen of road trip playlists” (if you've never listened to everything Close to you in a car, the volume all the way up, that's your cue to do it). From now on, Lorie can claim to have sold more than 35,000 tickets in around ten minutes, as its ticket turner informs, proof that an entire generation seems determined to celebrate its youth icon, still very present in hearts.

Lorie on a (Latin) tune of nostalgia
This Serge Lama was on to something with his explanation. Because now older and nostalgic for their younger years (attached is an article explaining how we all agreed to see the rhinestone of teeth could come back, that's to say), the thirty-somethings (or those who have a little less and a little more) happily celebrate what they were once able to denigrate. Now equipped with purchasing power and autonomy – understand, who no longer have to bribe their parents for a ticket (thank you guys for the Week End Tours in 2004, I will never forget) – it is with joy that they go to concerts. “I was in Lorie's official fan club when I was 11, she was my first real idol, my room was covered in posters up to the ceiling,” tells us by message Rachel who managed to find places in Toulouse, after a failure for Paris. “In 2025, I'm going to the concert with my two best friends from college, it was unmissable for me. There is a big nostalgic dimension for the 2000s and our adolescence. I'm 35 next year, I can't get used to it, but with Lorie, ok I accept!”
“Our icons of the 1990s and 2000s are a bit like our feel-good moments, it’s comforting”recalls Hedia Charni, TV and radio host on MTV and Champagne FM (and a fine connoisseur of the industry and the popstars of those decades). As in fashion, music has not escaped this revival. “There is a favorable musical context. We are seeing a strong comeback of pop artists from the 1990s and 2000s. And even beyond these artists, there is a kind of incarnation of the new generation via their codes.” The latter has never hesitated to proclaim her love for Lorie, whether we are talking about Angèle or Louane who have spoken about it in interviews. It is alongside young artists, like Bilal Hassani or Kalika, that Lorie decided to remix her old tracks in new versions published on two EPs called Hyper Lorie. An initiative which only increased the pressure on the part of the fans who continued to demand a return to the stage.
Lorie, off to a good start to come back
“There is something very authentic in the film of his career (…) This return, we feel that it is a return requested by the fans, not a return motivated by moneyexplains Hedia. I really have the impression that this really pleases his fans and that there are going to be lots of surprises.” What is certain is that they were there as soon as the ticket office opened and a good portion, left behind (me), are already calling for new dates. (This is why we are thinking of launching the “Lorie au Zénith 2025” campaign. Join the movement). It's official, the Lorie phenomenon, as the media loved to call it, is starting again with a vengeance, to our greatest happiness. Childhood memories will be transformed into adult memories with a tour that is already shaping up to be one of the most delightful musical events of next year. So who do we say thank you? Thank you Lorie!
