Budget 2025: Marine Le Pen asks the government to renounce the deindexation of pensions to escape censorship

This Monday, December 2, Marine Le Pen indicated that she “tabled an amendment on the renunciation of the deindexation of pensions” in the Social Security financing bill, the adoption of which would lead his RN group to renounce voting for a motion of censure against Michel Barnier.

“It’s up to the government to accept it or not to accept it”continued the leader of the far-right deputies after a meeting of her troops, shortly before the start of the examination of the text by the National Assembly.

The abandonment of drug reimbursement

Earlier today, the government “committed to ensuring that there is no delisting of medicines” in 2025, acceding to a new request from the National Rally, according to a press release from Michel Barnier sent to AFP on Monday. Faced with an imminent threat of censorship on the Social Security budget, the Prime Minister spoke on this subject on Monday morning with the leader of the RN deputies, the press release added.

“Many requests have been expressed on this subject (medications, editor’s note). Ms. Marine Le Pen, on behalf of the National Rally, reminded the Prime Minister of this again this morning during a telephone exchange”according to this press release.
