Russia continues strikes in Ukraine as Putin signs record military budget

A third of all Moscow spending is now dedicated to aggression against Ukraine. Russia's spending on war and security agencies exceeds spending on education, health, social policy, and the national economy combined.

Three people died in the southern city of Kherson when a Russian drone struck a minibus on Sunday morning, the region's administration said. Seven other people were injured in the attack.

“Today, Russia showed its true face again. On the anniversary of the referendum on the independence of Ukraine, the enemy dealt a new blow to civilians by dropping explosives on a minibus taxi,” wrote the governor of the region Oleksandr Prokudin on his Telegram channel.

Furthermore, the number of injured in Saturday's missile attack in Dniproin central Ukraine, rose to 24, including seven in serious condition, Dnipro region governor Serhiy Lysak said. Four people were killed in the attack.

This Saturday, four more people were killed and 19 others injured in Russian attacks in the Kherson and Donetsk regions.

Moscow sent 78 drones to Ukraine overnight from Sunday to Monday, according to Ukrainian officials. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 32 drones were destroyed and another 45 were lost, probably electronically neutralized.

Drones were launched from Kursk, Orel and Bryansk.

Ukrainian air defenses were set up in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy and Poltava regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry said 29 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight from Sunday to Monday in four regions of western Russia: 20 over the Bryansk region, seven over the region over Kaluga and one over the Smolensk and Kursk regions.
