Sports betting: he will score a lot of goals during the CH match

The two free bets in the National Hockey League (NHL) did not pay off last night, while the two “premium” choices were winners. Remember I bet the Bruins were going to beat the Canucks, while also taking Montreal against Utah.

Fortunately, I had found two bets good enough to be considered “premium” plays: Cole Caufield will record over 2.5 shots and Lane Hutson will go under 1.5 shots. Both of these bets turned out to be winning ones.

Today, there are 15 games scheduled in the NHL. Let’s hope we do better in the free picks category. Here are my two bets:

PICK #1: Canadiens v. Blue Jackets ➞ over 6.5

Montreal’s legs might be tired after playing last night. Not only did they play, but the game went into overtime and the team had to travel overnight to get to Columbus. We all know how pretty porous Montreal’s defense is, so things could be even worse tonight.

So far this year, the Canadiens come in at 28e ranks in the NHL for goals allowed, while the Jackets do little better with 24e place in this category. You may be surprised to learn that Columbus scored the 11e highest number of goals this season, so they have the ability to exploit Montreal’s weak defense.

The Canadiens have played nine games on the road during the 2024-25 season. In all these matches, they allowed at least three goals to their opponents. Meanwhile, the last three games played at Nationwide Arena have seen the Blue Jackets score 5, 7 and 6 goals respectively.

PICK #2: Sam Reinhart (Panthers) ➞ over 2.5 shots

Why don’t we catch up by sharing one of my “premium” bet picks for today. In the Toronto vs. Florida game, my numbers beg me to bet on the Panthers’ Sam Reinhart to record over 2.5 shots on goal.

In his last 13 games, Reinhard has had more than three shots on goal eight times, which corresponds to a success rate of 61.5%.

Last year, he faced the Leafs four times. In these matches, he had 4, 3, 2 and 4 shots on goal, which is good.

Good matches!
