War in Ukraine: hit by two new US long-range ATACMS missile strikes fired by Ukraine, Russia “promises a response”

Last week, with the United States authorizing Ukraine to use Western long-range weapons, Vladimir Putin did not rule out striking the West in a televised address.

Russia, which confirmed this Tuesday, November 26 to have been the target of two new Ukrainian strikes by American long-range ATACMS missiles, promised “an answer”, AFP reported.

Russia attacked repeatedly

Facilities in the Russian border region of Kursk were struck by Ukrainian armed forces on November 23 and 25. “Several missiles hit their targets”recognized the Russian Ministry of Defense, which reported two injured Russian soldiers and a damaged radar.

The senior Russian government official said Moscow was preparing a “response to recent Ukrainian strikes using US ATACMS missiles against its territory. “The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is monitoring the situation and preparing a response”he said in a press release. Last week, Vladimir Putin warned that he did not rule out striking the West.

A “record” Russian attack

On the night of Monday November 25 to Tuesday November 26, Ukraine announced that it had been the target of a Russian attack during the night with a record number of 188 combat drones which damaged, according to kyiv, residential buildings and “essential infrastructure”, without causing any casualties. Four Iskander-M ballistic missiles were also firedaccording to the Ukrainian Air Force.
