“Diplomatic incident”: a rat falls on the head of a Moroccan MP during a radio broadcast, “the premises will soon be demolished”

BordoFM radio, located in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles () had to change premises, for reasons of “public safety and hygiene”.

Last October, in the middle of an interviewa rat fell on the skull of a guest of BordoFM, a local station located in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles (Gironde).

This guest was “a Moroccan deputy, representative of Moroccans abroad and a ministerial delegate for youth from the government of Morocco”, specifies the radio management in a press release.

A “negative image” of the municipality

The latter, which had already noted “the presence of mice and rats” in the neighborhood, asked the town hall of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles to send “a press release to the Moroccan representatives”, who had to leave with a ” negative image” of the municipality…

The incident is in any case considered serious enough for the station premises to be closed, due to “public security, hygiene and diplomatic incident”we can read in News. Contacted by our colleagues, the mayor's office of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles indicates that “this premises will soon be demolished to make way for the construction of social housing”.

While waiting to be allocated other studios, BordoFM is maintaining the continuity of its programs from temporary locations.
