A Nantes school evacuated after a suspected gas leak

The 135 students and 15 teachers at the school located at 2 rue de la Mutualité, in Nantes, had to evacuate their establishment on Monday November 18, 2024 at 9:35 a.m. They were able to return to their class quickly.

Monday November 18, 2024, several classes were evacuated within the Mutualité school, in the street of the same name. The firefighters intervened for a smell of gas in a school establishment indicates the departmental fire and rescue operational center (Codis 44). 150 students and 15 adults had left when help arrived in the solar complex which has 350 students continue the emergency services who were on site at 9:35 a.m.

The smell came from an old pipe

After the recognitions firefighters and GRDF, the smell of gas was located: It came from an old pipe located on the public road near work. The students were therefore all able to return to their classrooms.
