Aymoz totaled 259.15 points over the entire Grand Prix, to slot himself between Yuma Kagiyama (263.09 pts), who had already won the Japanese Grand Prix at the beginning of November, and Daniel Grassl (258.55 pts, 2nd in the NHK Trophy).
Aymoz's Finnish weekend started well on Friday with a 3rd place in the short program (85.13 pts), behind the Japanese Kagiyama (103.97 pts) and Tomono (90.78 pts).
On Saturday, the Isérois confirmed by taking 2nd place in the free program (174.02 pts), only ahead of the Italian Grassl (180.64 pts).
Already assured of his place in the Grand Prix final
With the 13 points scored in Finland, added to the 13 points from his 2nd place at Skate America, Kevin Aymoz is in 3rd provisional place in the general classification, after five stages, behind the American Ilia Malinin and the Japanese Kagiyama. Note that the other Frenchman, Adam Siao Him Fa, is today just outside the top 6 (15 pts).
Even before the Cup of China (November 22-24), Kevin Aymoz is therefore qualified for the final of the 2024 Grand Prix, which will take place… at home! From December 5 to 8 at the Polesud ice rink in Grenoble, it could still spark.
