An arson fire was started during the night from Wednesday to Thursday in an apartment in the Montréal-Nord borough, in Montreal. The event caused no injuries.
Several calls were made around 2:45 a.m. Thursday to alert emergency services that a fire had broken out in an apartment located on Avenue de Cobourg, near Boulevard Henri-Bourassa.
When firefighters arrived on site, the blaze was already under control and the damage was minor, but an incendiary object was found inside the apartment, leading authorities to believe that it was an incendiary object. arson.
There were people inside the home at the time of the fire, but they were not injured.
The investigation into this fire will be conducted by the arson section of the City of Montreal Police Department.
