Dance, gym, everything you need to feel good in your head and body by doing a physical activity accessible to everyone.
The people of Châtenoy discovered it at the association forum, this brand new dance association opened its classes at the start of the school year in September, courses intended for early childhood (Baby), Loulous aged 3 to 6, teenagers, adults and to seniors.
Classes are taught by Shannon Mercier A dance teacher, the young woman knows Châtenoy well having already worked with school children.
This Wednesday morning is busy with a first class with the Baby accompanied by their parents, then it is the turn of the 3/6 year olds preparing for the gala which they will present to their parents, as well as the 7/10 year olds who are finishing the last hour of the morning.
As it says Shanone : « Dancing for kids is a great way to get them moving. While having fun, they develop their coordination and self-confidence. »
Seniors and adults can discover the Heels or called Talon dance, it is a dance form that emerged and evolved in the United States and Europe in the late 20th century. It gets its name from the style of women's shoes, wearing high-heeled shoes.
Another activity is proposed for well-being: Pound Fit innovative and fun physical activity that combines cardio, strength training and rhythm, inspired by drumming. This sport stands out for the use of Ripstix, sticks specially designed to simulate drum sticks, making each session dynamic and motivating. This program combines both intense physical exercise and rhythmic expression, which not only burns calories, but also improves coordination and releases stress.
Sessions take place on Saturday mornings from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Classes are given in the Berlioz activity room.
