in the South of Donbass, a worrying Ukrainian decline

In recent days, Russian troops have shifted into high gear in southern Donbass and, unfortunately, this is not much of a surprise. You may remember, a few weeks ago, we spoke to you on this channel about the town of Vuhledar, which is located at the crossroads between the southern front and the eastern front. And we explained to you that the capture of this mining town by the Russians, recorded at the beginning of October, would probably allow them to advance deeper into the region.

Well, unfortunately for the Ukrainians, a month later, that is indeed what they did since, since October 1, the Russians have advanced in this sector by a dozen kilometers towards the north. So it may not seem like much, but progress of this magnitude is now very rare in the Ukrainian theater.

Above all, this advance from Vuhledar echoes that which the Russians recorded a little further north, in the Pokrovsk sector. Since October 1, the Russians have advanced 5 to 10 kilometers there, but this time, in a southerly direction.

And you will have understood, these two axes of attack form a pincer which threatens the Ukrainian troops who are between these two sectors, south of the town of Khurakove.

Under heavy pressure, these troops could therefore be forced to withdraw again and abandon new lands to the Russians.
