Le Figaro Bordeaux
An investigation into “search for the causes of death” was opened by the Périgueux public prosecutor's office on Sunday. A 49-year-old man, who was participating in a wild boar hunt, died of an injury “which appears to correspond to a gunshot” according to the public prosecutor. At a time when all avenues are still possible, this Monday, an autopsy must also take place to understand the circumstances of the tragedy which took place in Coly-Saint-Amand, in Dordogne.
For Michel Traléglise, the president of the Serre hunting society, it is obvious that it was an accident. “He was the only person who shot all morning and he was alone at his post. He was found lying on his stomach and the worst had already happened.”he describes Figaro. The latter, who knew the deceased “since I was little», affirms that the possibility of suicide is impossible. “It was not at all the temperament (of the victim, Editor’s note). He was a bon vivant, a jovial and helpful person”he confides.
“It can only be an accident”
Single, the deceased still lived with his parents, where he worked as a farmer. His brother and two nieces live next door. Michel Traléglise does not want to believe in any other avenue than that of the accidental drama. “The investigation will tell, but it can only be an accident or discomfort which caused a fall with a loaded weapon”he assures.
