Murder of a 14-year-old teenager in Alénya: a white march in memory of Emilio this Sunday, November 3

A gathering with dignity is organized this Sunday, November 3, 2024 in the town of Alénya. In the village where the body of Emilio, a 14-year-old teenager, beaten to death, was found in the family home ten days ago.

The young friends of Emilio, this 14-year-old teenager found dead at the family home in Alénya on the night of Wednesday October 23 to Thursday October 24, who died following multiple acts of violence, wanted to pay him a new tribute this Sunday, November 3 by organizing a white march in his memory.

Barely a few days after the boy's mother and then his stepfather were indicted for “murder of a minor under the age of 15” and placed in pre-trial detention, his friends from middle and high school arranged to meet at 1:30 p.m. in front of Alénya town hall, Place de la République. The procession will then leave at 2 p.m. to head towards Place Colonel Cayrol, take rue Henri Sayroux, avenue Jean-Jaurès, from Parc Ecoiffier to the school roundabout, avenue Bouille, rue Ludovic Massé and finally rue Aristide Maillol to the teenager's house. And this, in order “to place flowers, candles, letters there…” and share a moment of contemplation.

Everything was done by the municipality with the assistance of the gendarmerie and the municipal police to ensure security and support this gathering which aims to be imbued with the greatest dignity. Parking spaces have been provided at the stadium and the craft zone. However, traffic will be disrupted as the procession passes between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. And the town hall, in a press release, invites these elements to be taken into account in anticipation of possible trips this Sunday, November 3 in the sector.
