He left us on the night of October 3 to 4, 2024, at the age of 72 (he succumbed to anaphylactic shock, an allergic reaction which led to several heart attacks from which he did not recover). Michel Blanc is already missed by all of France. But of course even more to his loved ones as well as his family, who gathered this Thursday afternoon in Saint-Eustache (Paris), in the same church where the world of cinema said goodbye to Gaspard Ulliel in 2022, to say “goodbye” one last time.
The ceremony, led by the parish priest Yves Trocheris, began at 4:05 p.m., in the presence of many personalities to whom Michel Blanc was very close, like Josiane Balasko and Gérard Jugnot. Two other members of Splendid, who came accompanied by their children, namely Marilou-Berry for the first (her son Rudy was not seen) and Arthur for the second. Note that Marie-Anne Chazel, Christian Clavier, Thierry Lhermitte (who took a mysterious photo in front of the church) and Bruno Moynot completed the famous troupe (only Dominique Lavanant was missing).

Josiane Balasko was also able to count on the support of her husband George Aguilar during this difficult moment. And that Jean-Paul Rouve spoke poignant words during the ceremony. The latter then left the church in the company of the stylist Ramatoulaye Diop, with whom Michel Blanc shared his life. Friends, family and strangers then gave the word to applaud one last time the interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse in Les Bronzés, thus offering him a beautiful ovation for his final journey to the beyond.
After more than two minutes of applause, the “merci” erupted and reasoned in front of the church. A magical scene, which came to close this moving and final tribute to Michel Blanc, star of Splendid and Les Bronzés, but also a successful director from his first film, Walk in the shadows, and great actor rewarded for Evening wear et The State Exercise.
