Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance, running mates of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump for the US presidential election, began their first and only debate on Tuesday in a particularly acrimonious campaign.
The two men, who are twenty years apart and have polar opposite positions on most subjects, shook hands and sat upright behind their desks. Their duel takes place in New York and is organized by the CBS channel.
