Rain and that in the rain! Showers are forecast throughout Monday in the Alpes-Maritimes. So much so that the department was placed in vigilance yellow-rain floods all day. The 06 is also in yellow alert for wave-submersions.
Up to 80 mm of rain in Mercantour
According to Météo-France, no area should be spared from precipitation during the day.
“The expected accumulations are of the order of 50 to 70 mm, locally 80-90 mm on the Mercantourwith a rain-snow limit around 2,300-2,400 meters“, specified the prefecture.
Mild temperatures
Temperatures will remain mild, with maximums around 16°C in Nice, while mountainous areas will be able to observe slightly lower temperatures, around 10°C in Saint-Martin-Vésubie. The wind, for its part, will be moderate with gusts reaching up to 20 km/h, adding a feeling of freshness to the air.
-In the evening, clouds will persist but precipitation should thin out, giving way to drier periods. Nighttime temperatures will drop to around 8°C, so a little wool will be required for those planning to go out.
