Benjamin Netanyahu “busy with the release of war hostages”
First, the head of the Israeli government happens to be under an international arrest warrant. He preferred to decline the invitation. In the morning of Europe 1 Sunday, the Israel’s ambassador to France, Joshua Zarkka justified this choice. “The Israeli Prime Minister is a little busy with the release of our hostages of war, and to ensure that things are starting to go into a certain normality in Israel. Unfortunately, he could not participate,” he underlined.
However, Poland had taken the lead by ensuring “free and safe” access to Benjamin Netanyahu. He will finally be represented by the Minister of Education, Yoav Kisch.

Poutine under an international arrest warrant
Another big absent, Vladimir Putin. If the Red Army discovered this death camp 80 years ago, the Russian president is not welcome today. Considering, among other things, the war in Ukraine, he was not invited. Note that as far as it is concerned, Poland would not have been deprived of enforcing the international arrest warrant which aims at it.
Finally, Donald Trump, either, will not be there. The new President of the United States will be represented by his special envoy in the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
