“The first elements of it show a human error in writing the banner, and in no case a political act or a malicious act,” added a spokesperson, stressing that in the antenna, the journalist had spoken well of “Palestinian prisoners”.
“Obviously, this erroneous banner does not reflect in any case the editorial line of the chain,” continued the spokesperson, stressing that apology had been presented several times in the evening to viewers. “We are renewing the confidence in the editorial staff which needs to regain serenity to continue to exercise its mission to inform our viewers accurately,” she added.
The Society of Journalists (SDJ) of the chain, which represents the editorial staff, spoke of its “human confusion in the writing of the text” and says it regrets “deeply this incident”.
“We salute the responsiveness of the management and we present on behalf of all the editorial staff our most sincere apologies to our viewers. This incident, although regrettable, does not in any way reflect the fundamental values of our editorial staff: its independence, its neutrality and its requirement for journalistic rigor, “she added in a press release.

-A similar error was made on Saturday on the website of the competing chain BFMTV, also mentioning the release of “two hundred Palestinian hostages”, in the body of an article on the subject.
The chain has also apologized to the readers of the site for this “inappropriate” expression and which “does not correspond to the reality of the facts”. “This error was taken very seriously and corrected as quickly as possible, in a desire for transparency,” said BFMTV management to AFP.
