France: A young delegation from the UM6P opens the ball of citizen diplomacy

This trip, which aimed to consolidate the renewal of the Moroccan-French partnership and the strengthening of the traditional ties of friendship which unite the two countries, in the light of the French recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara, allowed the young delegation , led by Ali Benyahia, doctoral student in Economics at UM6P, to meet major decision-makers on the French political and governmental scene, during visits to the main state authorities in . These include the National Assembly where Franco-Moroccan parliamentary issues were explored; the Quai d’Orsay where the diplomatic warming between the two countries was deciphered; as well as the Constitutional Council, symbol of republican principles. The highlight of the trip, the young Moroccan delegation will benefit at the end of its tour from a prestigious guided visit to the Élysée Palace.
The UM6P delegation was also received at the Embassy of the Kingdom, where Ambassador Samira Sitaïl, accompanied by her political advisor Yasmina Benbrahim, gave it a warm and committed welcome. “We were touched by the proximity and availability of Ms. Sitail and her team. Their welcome reflects the deep attachment of our Kingdom to its youth,” declared Ali Benyahia, the president of the delegation, who concluded: “This trip is not a simple protocol visit. This is an approach which illustrates a clear ambition: to actively include Moroccan youth in the writing of the new book which unites the Sherifian Kingdom and the French Republic.
