The department of Morbihan (north-west) will vigilant Orange rain-rumming from 6 p.m. this Friday, January 24, in anticipation of the Eowyn storm, according to the latest Météo-France bulletin.
“The first rains approached Brittany at the end of the night, but the episode has not yet really started, especially on Morbihan”noted Météo-France in its 6-hour bulletin.
-Ireland is currently struck by the Eowyn storm. The country has recorded a historic wind record, with gusts that have reached 183 km/h near Galway on the west coast of the country, according to the National Meteorological Agency. Ireland, like Northern Ireland and part of Scotland, is on red alert with strong winds and the authorities have called on residents to stay at home.
Vigilance because of “saturated soils”
“On Brittany, it brings sustainable and temporarily sustained rains, in particular [vendredi] evening “when the disturbance will reactivate. Météo-France thus plans a “Usual rainy episode for the season, but requiring particular vigilance, due to saturated soils”.
