Formula 1 | Lawson completed his first day at Red Bull Racing

Liam Lawson completed his first full day as a starter for Red Bull Racing ahead of his full-time debut with the team this year.

Lawson was brought in to replace Sergio Perez in the Milton Keynes squad after a disastrous 2024 campaign for the Mexican.

Red Bull chose Lawson to support Max Verstappen despite the fact that the 22-year-old only has 11 Grands Prix to his name, while his former teammate at Racing Bulls, Yuki Tsunoda, will begin his fifth season.

What was the purpose of this day?

“Honestly, it was just seeing everyone again, seeing the whole team again.”

“It’s not really a new team for me because I’ve been there for a few years as a junior and then as a reserve. It’s really nice to see everyone I worked with for a few years again “There were meetings, meetings, the usual things to prepare for the season and find out what’s new on the car.”

“Now, being an official driver is exciting. I was with everyone to position myself well in the cockpit of the RB21, which I was able to discover during assembly, and mold my seat into it.”
