() The skipper Jérémie Beyou (Charal) arrived in Sables-d’Olonne on Friday, ranking fourth in the Vendée Globe just under ten days after the winner Charlie Dalin (Macif Santé Pngoyance).

Posted yesterday at 9:45 p.m.

Jérémie Beyou, 48, crossed the finish line at 1 h 58 (7:58 p.m. East) after 74 days 12 h 56 min of racing, and a week after the arrival of Sébastien Simon ( Groupe Dubreuil) which completed the podium on January 17 behind Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkéa).

On arrival, “the conditions in the area were particularly delicate with hollows of 2 meters on the line and almost 25 knots of wind,” noted the organization in its press release.

The sailor must go up the Sables-d’Olonne channel at noon and will have by then “tackle to remain vigilant throughout the night and the morning”, according to the same source.

Paul Meilhat (Biotherm), at some 115 nautical miles, and Nicolas Lunven (Holcim-PRB) are also expected on Friday.

It is now “Finisher” in Successive Éditions (2016, 2020 and 2024).

The 10e Edition of the race around the world alone, non -stop and without assistance was won by Charlie Dalin on January 14, a new record in 64 days 19 hours 22 minutes 49 seconds to the key.
