The Lamb Of God singer harshly criticizes Elon Musk following a controversial gesture made during Donald Trump’s inauguration, accusing him of refusing to own up to his mistakes.
A controversial gesture and mixed reactions
On January 20, 2025, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, found himself at the center of an international controversy after making a gesture at President Donald Trump’s inauguration. This gesture, interpreted by some as a Nazi salute, quickly sparked debate on social networks and in the media.
Musk denied the allegations, saying on X: “Frankly, they need better attacks. ‘Everyone is Hitler’ is so outdated.”
However, this justification was not enough to calm the controversy. Defenders claimed it was a simple “Roman salute,” although the gesture is historically associated with Italian fascism of the 1930s.

Randy Blythe speaks without filter
Faced with this situation, Randy Blythe, the singer of the group Lamb Of God, shared his opinion on Instagram, where he did not mince his words. After taking the time to analyze the situation, Blythe sharply criticized Musk, calling him a “fucking asshole” and questioning his inability to recognize his mistakes: “Maybe he’s a Nazi? Maybe he’s just a troll? Maybe he’s so socially awkward that he can’t control himself? Who knows? This guy is weird. But one thing’s for sure: he’s a FUCKING ASSHOLE!”
-The singer also refuted the argument that Musk’s behavior could be attributed to his Asperger’s syndrome: “Having Asperger’s doesn’t mean you can’t be a HUGE ASSHOLE — the two are not mutually exclusive.”
Strong criticism and a clear message
Blythe went on to criticize Musk for naming his son X Æ A-Xii and called out his refusal to admit possible error: “Even if it was an autism-related mistake, he refuses to acknowledge it, and that tells us everything we need to know. Because, you see, people with a properly calibrated moral compass admit their mistakes.”
The singer concluded his message with a request addressed directly to Donald Trump: “Please put your ketamine-addicted rocket monkey back in his cage to do the things he knows how to do – obviously appearing in public is not one of them.”
Lamb Of God and the Future
Meanwhile, Lamb Of God continues to work on the album which will succeed Omens (2022). Randy Blythe and his teammates have two dates planned in 2025: the Inkcarceration festival in Mansfield, Ohio, in July, and their cruise Headbangers Boat in October.
