SFR partner: Lebara had a hollow nose!
He used the Bouygues Télécom network for a long time (until August 2021), then he signed with Orange. But the partnership ended this summer, and Lebara is now one of numerous MVNOs active on the SFR antenna network.
Could he have felt the wind turning? Because a few days ago, SFR won the title of “Best mobile network in France” for the year 2024, just ahead of Bouygues Telecom, thus dethroning Orange, eternal 1st for 13 years already. It is indeed what nPerf reveals in his last Barometer of mobile Internet connections in mainland France after analyzing 5 criteria: upstream and downstream speeds, latency, browsing and streaming.
With just over 97,000 points, SFR therefore obtains the best overall score, ahead of Bouygues by 1000 points, and Orange by 1500 points. And nPerf ensures that “the operator particularly stands out in upstream speed performance and establishes itself as co-leader in 5G, excelling in particular in uploading and video streaming.”
So remember that with Lebara, you will be assured of capture everywhere or almost, and to have excellent quality of calls and connections.
Mini prices, and breathtaking envelopes!
The prepaid card specialist has simplified its range of no-obligation packages, and the watchword is simple: offer a maximum of data at a low price. Mission accomplished when we consider:
-- son “small” package at €5.99 which still offers 70 Go de data mobile, the record in this price range, and above all quadruple what the French consume on average each month according to ARCEP;
- the large envelope of 250 GB in 5G displayed at barely €7.99, enough to leave the competition far behind (imagine: Sosh, Bouygues or Free stagnating at 20 GB at this price!);
- and these 300 GB in 5G at €14.99, but which ultimately cost more per gigabyte than the previous package.
The little “extras” and the originalities of Lebara’s service
With more than 5,300 customer reviews, Lebara manages to obtain the excellent rating of 4.6/5 on TrustPilot for the quality of its services, much better than those of many MVNO competitors. We then guess that the users do not hold it against him for his inability to support MMS in its unlimited telephony plan. And they also don’t seem to mind being limited to calls to France when traveling in Europe.
Same observation regarding its somewhat original functioning: we quickly get used to think over 30 days rather than monthly, and to pay automatically online via your bank card rather than by SEPA direct debit.
We finally guess that the subscribers appreciated the free SIM card (it often costs €10 among competitors), as well as the sponsorship service. Thanks to him, we can receive 15 to 30€ as a sponsor, et 2 months of subscription at half price as a referral: Pretty nice, isn’t it?
