On the occasion of the first European race of the season, the Grand Prix Castellóntraining Movistar has revealed the names of the seven runners who will participate in the launch of the year 2025 on the Old Continent. We find in particular the Italian Davide Formolo and the Spanish Iván García Cortinatwo different profiles which should offer several options to men d’Eusebio Unzue on an arduous journey. The Hispanic structure will also be able to count on Gonzalo Serrano and the 2023 Espoirs world time trial champion, Lorenzo Milesi.

Over the 171 km to cover from Castellón to Onda, the peloton will have to face a steep course, with more than 2,300 m of positive altitude difference. The finale will be marked by the ascent of the Ayódar Hill5 km at 4.5%, located 11 km from the line. A decisive passage, which could allow the strongest to make the difference before the descent and a potential sprint. Training Movistar seems well armed, whatever the scenario, but will notably have to face its former rider, the Spanish champion Alex Aranburu, now with Cofidis. The defending champion, Michael Matthews (Jayco AlUla), should also be there for what promises to be an exciting European premiere.
