His parents had initially made the request, which the town hall could not refuse them, the bones of the little boy having been discovered in this commune of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, on March 30, 2024, almost nine months after his disappearance. According to the law, no one can oppose the burial of a person in the municipality where they died.
The town hall, on the other hand, opposed the request for a family concession which would have allowed parents, upon their death, to be buried near their child.
