To conclude the year 2024, DS Automobiles lifted the veil on its new flagship, which adopts a new nomenclature: No. 8. This technical cousin of the Peugeot E-3008 and Opel Grandland is halfway between SUV coupe and raised sedan, with a high-end positioning as is tradition at DS. Before its official marketing scheduled for spring 2025, the first prices have fallen.
And as expected, they are quite high up. For the moment, No. 8 is not yet available in France. But it’s a matter of weeks… While waiting for the model to arrive in the catalog, its availability in Belgium already gives an indication of the price range. With our Belgian neighbors, the vehicle is available in two finishes (Pallas and Étoile) starting at €58,026. Which therefore fits with the words of the brand which, during the presentation, announced to us a price under €65,000.
Up to €74,000 at the top of the range
The entry-level Pallas version offered at this price is equipped with electric motors totaling 230 hp, and announces a WLTP range of 571 km thanks to the 73 kWh battery pack. The 245 hp variant, equipped with a large 98 kWh battery, has a range of 750 km thanks to its numerous aerodynamic optimizations. In Belgium, it is priced from €62,338 in Pallas finish or €69,982 in high-end Étoile finish. Finally, a more powerful engine, with 350 hp, is offered from €73,902 with the high finish only. It has a theoretical range of 664 km thanks to the larger of the two batteries.
These prices could vary slightly in France, since the tax and equipment levels are not the same. But we can count on an entry ticket under €60,000 in France, which is not cheap but relatively well placed compared to the competition. For comparison, an Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback is offered from €74,570 at entry level with 489 to 540 km of autonomy and 251 hp. At BMW, the 204 hp iX2 is offered from €46,950 at entry level to benefit from the ecological bonus, while the 313 hp variant reaches €59,200.
The first deliveries of the DS N°8 should take place in Belgium in June, if we stick to the announcements on the brand’s website. France should be served at the same time. Let’s hope that its manufacturing in the Italian Melfi factory will allow the DS SUV to shine in the premium segment, unlike the DS9 which suffered from its production in China.

To summarize
Revealed in December 2024, the new DS N°8 will be marketed in the spring. For the moment, we do not yet know its French prices. But it shouldn’t take long, since Belgian customers can already order the vehicle, which gives us an idea of the price range.
