It was during CES 2025 that Xiaomi revealed the arrival in its catalog of its Redmi Note 14 range, made up of five rather affordable models. During these winter sales, it is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 4G, the classic model of the series, which interests us in particular; not only because of its features that are usually found on more expensive smartphones, but also and above all for its price, which already benefits from a reduction of more than 20%.

An affordable, yet elegant smartphone
Physically, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 looks much more like a premium smartphone than an inexpensive model. You just have to look at its careful design, with its rounded edges without joints, its flat edges, its very contained thickness of 8.16 mm and its weight of 200 g, which makes it easy to hold. Let’s not forget its Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which effectively protects its screen, or its IP54 certification, which allows it to resist splashes.
In terms of its screen, we are entitled to a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2,400 × 1,080 pixels) Amoled panel, which also benefits from a 120 Hz refresh rate. ‘exemplary fluidity, which we don’t often have in this price range, moreover. In terms of maximum brightness, this reaches 1,800 nits, depending on the brand. This screen has other advantages, such as its ability to always respond well even if our fingers are wet, or its fingerprint sensor nestled under its surface. Also note that this Redmi Note 14 has a dual Dolby Atmos speaker.
-A nice setup for everyday tasks
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 also has a Mediatek Helio G99-Ultra chip, while the 5G version integrates a more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 7025-Ultra. Despite everything, the Redmi Note 14 should allow its user to carry out simple everyday tasks without a hitch. The smartphone obviously benefits from HyperOS 2, a recent version of its Android overlay, which is intended to be more efficient and fluid thanks to its “HyperCore” heart. On the photo side, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 is equipped with a 108 Mpx main sensor, a 2 Mpx depth sensor and a 2 Mpx macro lens. No ultra wide-angle here: it is reserved for the 5G model. However, we will appreciate the presence of artificial intelligence which will be able to optimize the rendering of the shots: removal of unwanted elements, modification of the sky, improvement of sharpness… There is plenty to do. Finally, in terms of autonomy, the Redmi Note 14 contains a 5,500 mAh battery, compatible with 33 W fast charging; enough to gain valuable battery points in no time.
