Fire in a business in St-Jean-de-Brébeuf

The Thetford Mines Fire Safety Department responded to 861 route 267 in Saint-Jean-de-Brébeuf on Wednesday around 3:50 p.m. for a fire in a business.

According to information collected on the page ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? / ???????????????????????? – ????????????????????????????????????????, welding work generated smoke. Firefighters carried out checks on the roof of the business. Help was requested from the L’Érable Regional Fire Safety Service (SSIRÉ), the teams from Saint-Ferdinand and Inverness then traveled.

An ambulance was called to the scene to treat employees who may have suffered from smoke inhalation. Fortunately, no transportation was necessary.

And at the start of the evening, the Thetford firefighters returned there to carry out checks because smoke had reappeared. This second intervention ended around 7:50 p.m.
