construction of a combined cycle gas power plant

(AOF) – Technip Energies has been awarded a detailed front-end engineering (FEED) contract for the construction of a new combined cycle gas-fired power plant (CCGT) with carbon capture and storage (CCS), on the Connah’s Quay site, as part of the Connah’s Quay Low Carbon Power project. The facility would be linked to neighboring CO2 transport and storage infrastructure, as part of the Hynet cluster located in the North West of the United Kingdom, one of the most industrialized regions of the country with significant sources of carbon dioxide. CO2 emissions.

This project will support the UK’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) sector, contributing to the government’s target of reaching net zero emissions by 2050.

Technip Energies, supported by Balfour Beatty and GE Vernova, will provide the front-end detailed engineering (FEED) services for the integration of the combined cycle gas-fired (CCGT) power plant with carbon capture and storage.
