Convicted in January 2024, respectively for “murder” and “complicity”, after the death of young Nabil Abbel (18 years old), in January 2020 in the Pierre-Heuzé district in ()Dylan Roberge and Walid Boulahia were to be judged on appeal, Monday January 20, 2025, in Alençon (Orne).

More this new trial did not take place : incarcerated in different prisons, the two men had to be brought together during the trial, to facilitate their extraction and transport to the courthouse of the Ornaise prefecture. A problem ofprison escort prevented it.

Six additional months of detention

Tuesday January 21, the investigating chamber of the Caen Court of Appeal therefore studied the question of their continued pre-trial detention. “We raised procedural elements,” reveals Me Kian Barakat, Dylan Roberge’s lawyer. Despite this, the two accused were, unsurprisingly, kept in detention for a period of six months.
