Filiatrault leaves his position at the same time as the general director, Céline Marcotte, who is retiring after 17 years.

The theater made the announcement in a press release Wednesday morning.

Ms. Filiatrault, aged 93, has been a true institution of theater, television and cinema in Quebec since the 1950s.

At the Théâtre du Rideau Vert, she notably offered the musical comedy “My Fair Lady”, which she also directed.

In the press release, she states that she is preparing to turn this page “with a lot of emotion”.
