When Nuri Sahin made his Bundesliga debut with Borussia Dortmund at the tender age of 16, he became the youngest player in the league’s history. He quickly established himself not only as a regular starter for BVB, but also as a fan favorite. Although Sahin played for several clubs during his career, including Real Madrid and Werder Bremen, he is now considered a Dortmund legend. His love for the club culminated in 2024 when he took the reins of the Premier League side as head coach. However, success eluded him and, after a prolonged crisis within the club, Sahin was sacked in early 2025 after just six months in charge.
