The regional director of commerce in Sousse, Fawzi Taleb, announced to Mosaique Fm that the supply of domestic gas bottles in the region is following a sustained and regular pace, including during weekends.

Over the past ten days, a total of 73,039 gas bottles was distributed, i.e. a daily average exceeding the 7,300 units. Despite pressures on the availability of gas for domestic consumption, efforts to stabilize supplies continue.

Local authorities, in collaboration with control services, have intensified their interventions to combat speculative practices. More than 200 gas bottles were seized due to their illegal sale.

An effective coordination strategy

Faced with the challenges linked to supply, a regional strategy has been put in place, focused on rigorous coordination between local authorities, administrative services and security forces. This approach aims to guarantee equitable distribution, particularly in the interior areas of the region, working-class neighborhoods and rural areas.

To ensure gas supply in remote areas, local authorities have intervened on several occasions to facilitate access for the six gas distributors operating in the region to filling centers located outside the governorate.

The authorities call for rational gas consumption and reaffirm their commitment to guaranteeing equitable access to this essential resource for the inhabitants of Sousse.
