Vanzeir on his way to La Gantoise: more details known

Whoever succeeds Wouter Vrancken, the future coach of La Gantoise will undoubtedly find that the Buffalos lack offensive strength up front. Arnar Vidarsson and co are therefore actively looking for a new attacker. One of the trails followed leads to Dante Vanzeir.

During a press conference to explain Vrancken’s departure, Vidarsson confirmed that the former Union SG striker was one of three attackers being monitored by the club. In recent weeks, the question has mainly been whether the ex-Red Devil would be able to integrate into Vrancken’s system, but this problem has now been resolved.

By Rwan Cruz

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Vanzeir is indeed on Ghent’s shortlist, but he is not a priority. Indeed, Ghent would like to recruit Brazilian striker from Ludogorets Rwan Cruz, but the Bulgarian club is being greedy by asking for no less than 8 million euros.

Vanzeir will not cost more than 3 million euros

Vanzeir, who is looking for a new challenge, could leave the New York Red Bulls for just two to three million euros. Ghent should not, however, hang around too long because several clubs are interested in the 26-year-old.
