The doors of Cooperstown open for Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner who will be the 2025 vintage.
Ichiro came close to a unanimous vote, but was only one vote short. In the end, his name ended up on the ballots of 99.7%.
Derek Jeter also came close to obtaining the unanimity of which only Mariano Rivera can be proud.
Quebecer Russell Martin received 2.3% of the votes.
Sabathia came second in the poll with 86.8% while Wagner 82.5% of the votes.
-A percentage of 75% is necessary to be elected.
For his part, Carlos Beltran took fourth place with 70.3% of the votes.
