GAINESVILLE, Floride – The North Florida women’s Tennis team (0-1) began its 2025 season on the home court of 19th-ranked Florida at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Following a forfeit in the third doubles match, Florida managed to take the doubles point. The Ospreys tried to respond in singles, but failed to win in their first meeting of the season, losing to the Gators by a score of 5-2.
The two points of the day were scored by the new recruits Nicole Alfaro Solis during his singles match and Gabby Goyinswhose opponent also had to withdraw, which allowed UNF to gain an additional point. The Ospreys will play their second road game of the season against Furman on Friday, January 24, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
