The restyled Skoda Enyaq at the price well placed to beat the Tesla Model Y?

Even if the Volkswagen group’s electric models launched since the start of the decade have not managed to come close to Tesla’s sales levels, some of them, such as the Skoda Enyaq, still manage to achieve interesting figures. The Czech SUV even became the best-selling new electric model on the European market in October 2024.

It just so happens that this Skoda Enyaq received its mid-career restyling, which was launched on the market in 2021. A restyling which allows it to display a stronger design in addition to an interior with slightly improved finishes and the more efficient on-board computer.

We finally know the prices of this restyled Enyaq and they are lower than those of the previous version: from 46 270€ in the basic Element finish with the 77 kWh batteries and the 286 horsepower rear motor, a significant drop compared to the old price list. Remember, however, that Skoda previously offered an automatic discount of €11,000 on the Enyaq, which puts it into perspective.

In the fight against the Tesla Model Y…

When we compare this restyled Enyaq to the pre-restyling Tesla Model Y still displayed in the French catalog, the Czech appears to be in the mix: the American remains cheaper in base price at €44,990, but it has fewer batteries at this price. big and the restyled Enyaq benefits from a very good level of standard equipment.

Note, however, that Tesla is currently offering a big discount on the Long Autonomy Propulsion version of this Model Y, displayed these days at €42,990 instead of €46,990 before bonus! Unbeatable at this price, but the offer will most likely only last as long as Model Y stocks are sold out while waiting for its restyled version to arrive on our market.
