Official: Colombia U-20 team makes last-minute decision for South American Championship in Venezuela

The Colombian Federation has confirmed a last-minute change ahead of their first official appearance at the South American U-20 Championship, which will take place in Venezuela, a move welcomed by CONMEBOL.

One week before their first match, the Colombian U-20 team prepares for a crucial meeting, which will determine the four teams qualified for the World Cup.

Under the guidance of coach César Torres, the team will include familiar names from the youth divisions, such as Alexei Rojas of Arsenal in England, Oscar Perea of ​​Atlético Nacional, and star midfielder Barranquilla FC , Jordan Barrera.

The announcement of the list of 23 players was made on Wednesday January 15. However, the coaching staff was forced to make a late adjustment due to an injury to Joel Canchimbo.
