The Nintendo Switch 2 would offer a new feature that many players are waiting for. It would be a small revolution on its scale!
The Nintendo Switch 2 (this is indeed its official name) has finally officially revealed itself to us! In a presentation video shared Thursday, January 16, the new hybrid console gave a first glimpse of its design and what would strongly resemble Mario Kart 9. What if this first taste also hid a few additional details, particularly regarding the machine’s functionalities?
A little PC in the Nintendo Switch 2?
We are not going to feign big surprise about the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2. The leaks have been so numerous for several weeks and, above all, more and more concrete. Especially since, looking at the final result, it is clear that many of them were true. Others could even be confirmed soon if the first images are anything to go by.
For the moment, Nintendo has contented itself with this video presentation, without providing further details. Therefore, the new features of the console must still be clarified. But the trailer already makes it clear that the way of playing will be even more permissive with the Switch 2. In fact, we can see the Joy-Con detach, like on the first console, but also be usable horizontally … like a computer mouse !
A new accessory will therefore accompany the Nintendo Switch 2. It is a tip into which each of the Joy-Cons can be slipped, in the same way as the one already available on its big sister. This time, however, it will allow the controllers to be placed flat on their edge and presumably to slide. What’s more, we can see that at least one of the two, the one on the right, includes a button on its front. Combined with the onboard infrared technology, this could really make it a mouse.
-Nintendo has yet to confirm the various specifics of its Switch 2. But a new feature already seems to be showing itself. If it is indeed the one we are thinking of here, it will be particularly useful for certain types of games, such as management, construction or strategy games.
