Nkunku to Bayern, this shattering exchange is canceled

In recent days, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been discussing a potential exchange between Mathys Tel on one side and Christopher Nkunku on the other. This major deal involving the two French attackers will not see the light of day.

Exchanges are rare in modern football but this time, Chelsea and Bayern Munich thought they had a good avenue to explore. On the one hand, the Blues were very interested in Mathys Tel while on the other, Bayern Munich is determined to acquire Christopher Nkunku, who shone so much in the Bundesliga when he wore the colors of RB Leipzig. On paper, the operation was a win-win for all parties. But ultimately it will not see the light of day. Indeed, Sky Sports Germany tells us that Mathys Tel has vetoed it. The former Stade Rennais striker is convinced his playing time will increase at Bayern Munich, where he is the only true center forward behind Harry Kane.

Mathys Tel says no to Chelsea

This exchange once considered is therefore canceled, which does not however put an end to the negotiations between Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Indeed, even if Mathys Tel will not join the Blues, the Bavarian club is still very interested in Christopher Nkunku, reports our colleague Florian Plettenberg. The very influential agent Pini Zahavi is involved in the deal and is working to ensure that things move in the right direction but for the moment, negotiations are not moving forward. On the other hand, the agreement is already 100% finalized between Christopher Nkunku and Bayern Munich. It therefore remains to agree on the conditions of a loan or transfer between the two clubs.

But in this matter, the London club will defend its interests to the last cent. Because even if Nkunku is not a starter at Chelsea, the residents of Stamford Bridge broke the bank last July to attract the player trained at PSG by spending 60 million euros.
