Road conditions could give some motorists a hard time on Saturday, as snow is already accumulating on several roads in the province. See where.
The Quebec road network under the snow
Sustained snow, blowing snow and slippery roads: travel could be more complicated on Saturday for several sectors of the province. Early Saturday morning, bands of slightly heavier snow in Abitibi crossed Rouyn-Noranda. Moreover, on the Val-d’Or side the heaviest precipitation fell during the night from Friday to Saturday and in the morning on Saturday.
Thus, early Saturday morning it is snowy on the roads on the Abitibi side, notably on the 113, the 117 and the 167. The situation will continue until the afternoon, going towards Chibougamau.
Saturday afternoon and evening, another program awaits the Quebec road network, while the system is moving. For southern Quebec, you should especially keep an eye on Highway 15 north of Saint-Jérôme, passing through Saint-Sauveur and Sainte-Adèle. There could be some fairly snowy sections. Same thing for Highway 40 between Montreal and Quebec, in places.

On the other hand, the roadway on Highway 20 should be a little wetter. Generally south of the river, snow should accumulate less and be more melting, due to temperatures near freezing.
When the wind plays with the snow
There are no violent or strong winds forecast in Quebec on Saturday, but the winds are still present and can cause a little blowing snow. Gusts are felt in the morning, of 30 to 40 km/h in the south of the province, and they are a little stronger in the northwest.
Therefore, blowing snow is possible in places, for example in the Laurentians.
