Gaël Monfils eliminates world No. 4 Taylor Fritz and qualifies for the round of 16

Aged 38, French tennis player Gaël Monfils, 41st player in the world, overthrew the American Taylor Fritz this Saturday, January 18 in the 3rd round of the Australian Open, signing his first Grand Slam victory against a member of the top 5 since 2008. He will face the Italian Lorenzo Musetti (15th) or the American Ben Shelton (20th) in the round of 16.
