While MHSC, 2-1 winners over Monaco, returned to success in Ligue 1 this Friday at La Mosson, a rather strange scene happened in the stands a few minutes after returning from the locker room. The match was interrupted following the appearance of techno music coming from the Butte Paillade sound system.
Since the start of the season, Montpellier has been talked about a lot. Currently bottom of the championship, the MHSC hosted AS Monaco at La Mosson this Friday. If Jean-Louis Gasset’s men managed to win 2-1 for the opening of this 18th day of Ligue 1, a strange scene took place in the stands.
A sound system with techno music
A few seconds after the start of the second half, the match was interrupted after Butte Paillade, the Montpellier ultra group, turned up the volume of its sound system. A high volume of techno music which therefore disrupted the meeting, to the point that Jérôme Brisard, referee of the meeting, was forced to interrupt it.
-The speaker then made a call for the music, deemed too loud, to be interrupted. Without success at first since the Montpellier supporters even increased the sound of the sound system. The game was able to resume after two minutes and thirty seconds of interruption. According to several testimonies on site, the match resumed following the intervention of stadium security who removed the sound system.
A few weeks ago, Butte Paillade published a press release on its social networks to raise alarm about the sporting situation of the club and the behavior of Téji Savanier during the elimination against Le Puy, in the Coupe de France.
