An investigation into attempted homicide by an organized gang and intentional destruction by fire by an organized gang was opened by the Aix-en-Provence public prosecutor’s office, reports “ici Provence” (formerly France Bleu) on Friday January 17.
The flames affected two apartments in a building located in the Molières district. In total, four people from the same family were injured, the mother and her two children have a life-threatening prognosis. The 41-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son suffered serious burns and were unconscious when paramedics took them to hospital. A 5-year-old girl, who is the third life-threatening person, also suffers from burns. The father, 69, was burned to the face and hands.
