The engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology, Mondher Mrabet, announced this Friday afternoon that the color was assigned to the governorate of Nabeul and the governorates of Greater Tunis, namely Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous and Manouba, in addition to the northwest, Le Kef, Jendouba and Béja, and the governorates of Kasserine and Siliana.

The same source indicated that these governorates are now facing a high alert level which requires total vigilance in the face of expected dangerous weather phenomena, taking into account the weather fluctuations observed by these regions, which have been characterized by significant precipitation.

Mrabet pointed out that the assignment of the orange color means that very heavy rains will fall in a very short period of time, which means that there is a risk of overflowing and flooding of the valleys if large quantities of water of rain accumulates in a short time.
